About SHAWN
A Lifelong
Kitchener Resident
Kitchener isn’t just where I live, it’s where my entire life has unfolded.
As a lifelong resident, my deepest roots are planted right here. I grew up on these streets, met my wife here, and together, we’ve had the absolute privilege of raising our five children in the city we love.
This is the community where I built my small construction business from the ground up. It’s also where I saw a critical need and stepped up, founding Frontline Recovery; a local non-profit dedicated to fighting homelessness and helping to navigate addiction recovery.
Every milestone of my life is tied to Kitchener. I know the strengths of our city, but I also see the real challenges our families face every day.
To me, leadership isn't about grand political promises, it’s about practical solutions, personal accountability, and listening to the people who live here. A great city is built from the ground up by strong families, thriving local businesses, and neighbours who genuinely look out for one another.
I am running for City Council to bring a common sense, hands-on approach back to City Hall. Ultimately, my goal is to Get Back to Basics. Together, we can build a community where families want to put down roots, where small businesses can grow, and where every resident feels safe and proud to call Kitchener home.
I can’t wait to meet you on the campaign trail and talk about Getting Back To Basics and moving Ward 3 forward together!
"Family is at the heart of everything I do. The choices I make and the way I serve our community always start with being a husband and dad first."
WHY I'M RUNNING
Common Sense for City Hall
I am running for Ward 3 because I believe our community deserves a representative who listens and acts on the issues that affect our daily lives. From safe streets to sustainable development, my goal is to ensure that every resident feels heard and valued in our city's future.
It's about common sense and practical solutions. We don't need complicated rhetoric; we need measurable progress on the basics that make our neighborhood a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
"I'm running because I care about this community and believe in what's possible when we focus on what really matters."
